The middle section has a melancholic feel, where you should be somewhat free with interpretation. The main theme appears repeatedly in this section. Vary its color and intensity.

As a trio, be faithful to the music. For a small band setting (or when parts are doubled), diversify sounds in different sections to emphasize the unique character of that instrumentation.
