This piece consists of both slow and fast sections (introduction and allegro). Sing the first half (introduction) espressivo. As for 8th and 16th notes, best to play them with a sense of flow rather than focusing on the initial attack. When contrabass is available, practice producing heavy, sustained tones with a bow and lighter pizzicato to instantly express both elements.

The vibraphone's bass tones (H, A, G#) only appear in the first half. However, when playing with a school instrument, you may raise the range for that part or omit it. The marimba and timpani solos from E to G will sound better without a heavy emphasis on time.

In the second half (allegro), change the atmosphere and create lively music. As it is up-tempo, when using both hands (chords), be mindful not to tense up and aim for a light delivery to make playing as effortless as possible.

Perc.3 will need to arrange several instruments, including chimes, toms, bongos, and cymbals around the timpani. Plan the best arrangement for travel.

When performing with a contrabass (optional), change the title to "Percussive Wave for Percussion and Contrabass".
