This work was originally written for two oboes and clarinet. The title reflects the idea of a composition for reed instruments (anche meaning “reed”). As the melodies intertwine like a twill weave, harmonies naturally emerge, and a single tone may be adorned with various ornaments, creating a rich tapestry of sonorities.I hope performers will value the expressive character of the melodies and enjoy how the music unfolds flexibly through the overlapping sonorities and the transitions of harmony.
