Libera animas was written in 2020. It means to "free souls". I have not experienced war or anything as significant as the current pandemic. I never imagined the day the world can't travel beyond borders. Though, we are currently l
iving in a locked-down world with the new virus.

In recent years, freedom is often touted in countries including mine, Japan. But we still live in a bound world. If you look beyond, there are still many countries where people suffer inequalities.

Even in Japan, many face social responsibilities and pressures, or limitations beyond their control. We strive to make our lives better every day. Such challenges and difficulties are part of human history.

Music always offers relief from these realities and gives me courage to face the world. Through this work, I wish for many to pause and liberate their souls.
