Musica Avaz was originally written for brass and percussion octet use at Saitama State Ensemble Contest in 2018.

To explore more possibilities for the work, I re-edited it for band, premiered by Sendai Johnan High School's 13 members. Although the band was small, it has an oboist and a Darbuka (drum from Mesopotamia and Ancient Egypt). Incorporating the Persian scale gives the feel of both traditional and contemporary dances. Throughout the song apply expressiveness, resonance and momentum most suitable for your band. I hope these new band possibilities will be loved for years to come!
