The wind "Ai" refers to a refreshing west wind that blows along the coast of the Sea of Japan in summer. However, in the coastal areas of Toyama, people call an east wind that blows from early spring "Ai" also. I express longing for spring through the wind Ai. Toyama has less snow than before, but its abundant nature moves us when seasons change, especially the arrival of spring.
"Sasara" is an instrument used in the Toyama folk song "Kokiriko".
