Commissioned by the saxophone quartet Quatuor B.
A medley of orchestral works for saxophone ensemble. Pictures at an Exhibition and L'Arlésienne, Prokofiev's Romeo and Juliet, Gershwin's American in Paris, Rhapsody in Blue, and Ravel's Bolero are intertwined like a puzzle. It's a fun work so I hope you'll enjoy presenting this in concert.

Quatuor B
A new saxophone quartet consisting of Sadahito Kunisue, Masaya Yamaura, Sumichika Arimura, and Gentaro Koyama, formed in the spring of 2007. Each of the four is an up-and-coming young artist, already widely active in Japan and overseas. What these four people have in common is that "all have blood type B". The band name also comes from that important personality trait.
