"Wings of Time" was originally a brass quartet in 2018. The composer then arranged it for a flexible ensemble of 4-5 players (optional percussion) to support a wider range of instruments.

The flow of time is relentless, constantly moving forward beyond our joys and sorrows. We may feel bewildered by how time passes irrespective of human emotions and may experience an indescribable sense of emptiness knowing that all good and bad things eventually come to an end. However, it is precisely because our time is limited that we should cherish the present moment. This positive sentiment is embedded in the music.

The piece can be performed by various combinations of four players, but including optional parts like Part 2 or the percussion part provides greater sound stability, richness, and dynamic range. The percussion part is divided into two lines, offering further flexibility: it can be played by two people each handling one line, by one person playing either line, or by one person playing both lines simultaneously using the same mallets, with a suspended cymbal positioned in front of the marimba.
