This piece was composed in 2025 on commission from Shiroishi Junior High School in Sapporo, Japan. It is a restructured version of a work written that year for Kyoto Ryoyo High School's marching contest.
Since the original version was intended for marching, the piece retains a strong show-style character. The most prominent and climactic moment, often referred to as the "company front," occurs at rehearsal letter T. The main theme appears from bar 10, making it the emotional centerpiece of the work. I hope performers will bring this theme to life through rich expression. Leading up to this moment, I encourage a dramatic performance that builds anticipation and supports the arrival of the central theme.
