Snowflake is a flower native to Europe that blooms in early spring (another variety in the Americas and Europe is Summer Snowflake, blossoming in early summer.) The sentiment of this flower is purity and innocence. I felt these words perfectly described a gorgeous flute sound. Therefore, I imagined the tonal color of the flower as I composed this trio.

The elegant introduction is followed by an energetic fast tempi section. The beauty and grace of the flower is reflected in the slower section. The fast section returns, leading to an alluring conclusion.
